Budget Operation Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Budget Operation Specialist is responsible for budget entry and set up in the ClinRun system and maintenance of the study budget process for the life of the study. This includes payee management, site lists and contract and amendment entry. The ideal candidate should possess experience within the biopharmaceutical industry and knowledge of budgets, contracts, site set-up activities, and related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience

Minimum of two years of experience in clinical trials or related setting

Experience with investigator contracts, budgets and site payments

Proficient understanding of protocol amendments, amendment effective dates, changes to subject visits and how these changes affect contracts and payments

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and communicate professionally with clients

Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, SharePoint and Outlook

Must have excellent organization and time-management skills

Attention to detail required

Must be able to learn quickly, be comfortable with new technology systems and adapt to system changes

Capable of working independently and being proactive in a team

Demonstrates proficiency in performing under pressure and meeting deadlines efficiently

Ability to proof-read and detect errors in math and grammar
-
Proficient understanding of basic accounting and budgeting is recommended
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform and manage study-specific, global site budget processes
-
Reconcile information from sponsor-specific documents including budgets and payment terms in contracts, amendments, ancillary agreements and study protocols

Site set up in ClinRun

Entry of baseline/template budgets

Entry of site-specific budget information
-
Entry of budget amendments
-
Entry of payee information
-
Respond to budget related inquiries from sites, CROs, and sponsors efficiently and effectively

Follow up with investigative sites, CROs, or Sponsors to resolve any budget issues

Understand global contract terms, budgets, and payment schedules
-
Ensure that budgets for investigative sites are aligned with the contract and/or amendment(s)

Comprehend global payment terms and processes

Build and maintain excellent relationships with sites, colleagues, and clients

Maintain study-related information to use as reference in daily duties
-
Stay abreast of changes in studies and in contracts
-
Other duties as required and assigned by designated team lead. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
